- Commonly known as Japanese tree lilac, grows as a small tree or large shrub with an oval-rounded crown. - Blooms later than most other lilacs with showy, fragrant, creamy white flowers bloom in upright panicles late May to early June. - Flowers give way to clusters of brown capsules that persist into winter. - Attractive reddish-brown peeling bark on younger branches, turning gray with age. - 'Ivory Silk' is a small tree or large shrub with a rounded crown, growing 20-25 feet tall. - Creamy white, fragrant, single flowers are arranged in dense, terminal clusters. - Features attractive dark-green leaves and reddish-brown bark.

Most trees are sold by caliper size (mm), which measures the external diameter of the trunk, 6” up from the bottom of each tree in Aug-Sept.

Multi-stemmed shrubs and conifers that branch near the base are sold by height (cm) measured around the same time.

Plants are lifted out of the field and put into wirebaskets once weather permits and temperatures cool (in spring and fall) so trees are dormant for best results with transportation and planting.
